What are students saying about us?

""The chair yoga class is wonderful. It builds physical strength, confidence, and awareness of one's self. Highly recommended. Excellent instructor.""

-Karen H.

"Highly recommend! I’ve been practicing with Jenny for about 18 months. She is dedicated to her practice and her students. Jenny is kind, funny, and actively engages in class with her students. She provides modifications when needed. Jenny worked with me for several months on strength prior to a total knee replacement surgery. My recovery has gone remarkably well due to the work we put in prior to my procedure. You can be in a class with several other students but still feel like the only one in the studio. I’ll be practicing with Jenny for a long time and hope to see new faces. You will not be disappointed!"

-Michelle A.

"After years of at home practice, I'm really happy to be in a studio with a real teacher and classmates. The class offers lots of fun camaraderie. Jenny's instruction is challenging and supportive. I learn something new every class. I especially enjoy Fun Fridays where we workshop positions. I'd gotten stuck in a rut with the same poses at home and now I'm stretching and building new muscles. Jenny offers many different class times and I look forward every time I get to go."

-Suzy H.

"Jenny is the perfect instructor for me. i have not been doing yoga long but she has been nothing but great. she's very easy going and makes class fun and very comfortable. if you are new to yoga i could not suggest anyone any better and if you have been doing yoga a long time i would also not hesitate suggesting Essential Yoga and Wellness."

Power Yoga, Occupational Therapist

As a lover of all things wellness, I discovered yoga during a challenging time while recovering from a running injury. With my Occupational Therapist and fitness instructor background, I bring deep knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to my yoga classes.

I'm passionate about teaching Power Yoga classes where we can have fun while challenging ourselves, and I'm equally enthusiastic about being a student and exploring various yoga styles.

Yoga Philosophy, Yin

My first taste of yoga came from watching Wai Lana on PBS as a kid, but it took a sunrise beach practice in Hawaii in 2021 to really hook me. That's when I realized yoga wasn't just about the poses—it was about showing up for yourself, growing from the inside out, and finding your people.

In my classes, I keep things clear, welcoming, and real. I want you to feel challenged and capable—because yoga isn't reserved for the flexible or the "zen." It's for anyone willing to show up.

Jenny Henderson

Hatha, Flow and Chair

I help students find mobility, greater flexibility, and strength using an alignment-based yoga style.

I have been known to mix a little laughter and fun into my classes while helping students cultivate discipline, strength, and awareness.  Alignment and balance, both physical and mental, are the foundation of my practice and teaching.

Ginger Snyder

Reiki, Shamanic Healing, Tarot

My mission is to guide others in reclaiming their power and living the fulfilling, aligned life you’re meant to.

Why Bodywork, Yoga, Reiki, and Shamanic Healing Are Essential Additions to Therapy

Through practices like Shamanic Healing, Reiki, and bodywork, that trapped energy can be released, helping you heal deeply and completely. These modalities work to move the energy up and out, allowing your body and mind to find balance and wholeness.

Frequently asked questions

You can ...If you exercise to prevent or treat a (long list of) medical conditions, you may be able to use your pre-tax HSA/FSA funds for Essential Yoga and Wellness. To do so, you’ll need a Letter of Medical Necessity from a licensed provider to confirm that your expense qualifies as a medical expense.

We’re making it more convenient than ever to get this letter by partnering with Dr. B—a telehealth platform that offers $15 online consultations for common conditions. Just start an online fitness consultation, and they’ll handle the rest!

Here’s how it works:

  • Go to hidrb.com/and/essentialyoga for a one-time $15 online consultation. (No appointments or video call required!)

  • If you qualify, receive your Letter of Medical Necessity, valid for 12 months, via email within a few hours.

  • Submit your letter and Essential Yoga and Wellness receipts purchased on or after the date of your letter to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.

We offer both in-person and online classes to accommodate different preferences and schedules. Our online classes allow you to practice from the comfort of your home, while our in-person sessions provide a more immersive experience and direct interaction with instructors.

The frequency of practice can vary based on individual goals, but generally, practicing yoga 2-3 times a week can lead to noticeable improvements in flexibility, strength, and overall well-being. Consistency is key, so even short daily sessions can be beneficial.

We offer a variety of yoga styles to suit different needs and preferences, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Adaptive/ChairYoga, Meditation, Family/Kids, Movement classes and more!

While we provide yoga mats and basic props (blocks, straps, blankets) for use during class, many students prefer to bring their own mat for hygiene reasons. If you have any special props you like to use, feel free to bring them along.

Absolutely! We offer classes for all levels, including specific beginner-friendly sessions. Our experienced instructors provide modifications for all poses, ensuring that everyone can participate safely and comfortably, regardless of their experience level.
